  • Should be great but is frustrating

    By Eris05
Firstly, I actually love just about everything about this keyboard. And I want to love it. But it has one fatal flaw that drives me batty and ruins the whole otherwise great experience. That flaw is the relentless habit this app has, for some insane reason, of AUTOMATICALLY DEFAULTING TO THE LONGER WORD!! WHY?!! What this means is that constantly I type the word I want and continue typing, to realize that instead the app has decided in its wisdom to both print that word, but rather a totally different word (or phrase). It's insane. I love the 3 word suggestion design but for the love of your preferred deity why wouldn't it be that THE WORD YOU TYPE is the middle, auto option, and the longer version one of the side ones I can choose if I wish. Instead, I apparently have to type the word I want, but then on random occasions also manually suggest that word AS WELL. Which of course because it's random I rarely notice and send stupid, stupid messages to people. It's done it 3 times in this short reviews. Come on SwiftKey that's absolutely insane. Why?? It lead me to dump this keyboard but I actually don't want to.
  • Brilliant Keyboard

I've been using SwiftKey for probably about two years now. I find it very easy and reliable to use. The 'Flow' feature, allowing me to slide my fingers across the keyboard to spell words, rather than tapping on every key makes typing so much quicker. Now, with the ability to customise it by using one of the photos I took myself (a brilliant sunset framed by the silhouette of trees) just makes it look magical. Congratulations to the great work of the developers 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💫
  • Something's gone wrong

I've been using SwiftKey on iOS for years and up to recently it's been great. But for the last number of weeks, SwiftKey has been making a lot of incorrect word insertions. Even typing this I've had to correct multiple errors. For instance, SwiftKey now often inserts the word I want but with 'ing' on the end. Or when I try to type 'just' it keeps inserting 'justice'. Am not sure what has changed, but it seems to have changed overnight. My friend that uses SwiftKey has noticed the same issue, and it's driving us both crazy 🤬
