  • Needs total overhaul update

    I really think HSBC Australia needs a better fresh new app update as the current one is very outdated compared to big four banks in Australia apps. Although HSBC have many in app updates through out the year none of them seem to fix sluggish issues and bugs as well as providing nothing new. The transaction history is so slow and not quick at all it takes a few days for it to show up in transactions and compared to the very good HSBC HK and UK app is very poor and doesn’t look good considering HSBC is one of biggest banks in world not yet Australian customers are stuck with a very primitive banking app which gives us a very poor mobile banking experience.

    This is not only the worst banking app I’ve ever used, it’s the worst app full stop. I’ve never felt the need to rate an app before but HSBC need to know how painful this app is to use. Unfortunately after reading other reviews it appears that HSBC are either not reading them, or simply intend to do nothing, which leaves me to re-consider my need to keep my account open. In the 21st century banking is about the whole experience and there is no excuse for this app. It is not possible to make a quick balance check, or pay a bill on the fly as the time it takes to even log in is unrealistic. It defeats the purpose of having an app at all. Please do something about it.
  • Worst Customer Experience

    I’ve recently swapped over to HSBC for both my home loans due to low interest rate and the app never works when wanting to check balances or review status. It’s slow and constantly doesn’t load. even at once stage, it showed a future transaction that hadn’t occurred yet. This does not make me want to bring all my finances across and will keep my money and cards with my original bank institution as this app would drive me insane and want to swap banks again if I did bring all my business across. It’s almost like the app is trying to do everything and probably needs a complete redesign. Not impressed or user friendly.
