  • Great for a free app!

I got this app as I didn’t want to pay for my fitness pal to track macros - this tracks everything perfectly. Great to save you meals in too for quick input, you can even put recipes into custom meals and just include the macro break down per serve so you don’t have to fiddle around putting every single ingredient in and working out the portion of each you’ve had. I always tease my partner who didn’t know about this app and has paid for my fitness pal. Awesome that you can track your weight, integrate it with your health app, and include before and after pics in my own file. The only downside is it that it still seems in the growing phase so when you scan some barcodes, you need to input all the info as it doesn’t yet have it in their systems, but hey - if it benefits everything (including myself), I’m happy to spend two minutes doing this. Great free app - thanks!

App was great until they brought in a paid subscription and I refuse to support such obvious greed. I won’t pay a subscription for any app. A monthly subscription is $120/year. That’s $240 for two years, $1200 over 10 years. Making subscriptions more expensive than buying the licenses for high end computer software. Subscriptions are a way to swindle people, “it’s only $10 a month, I can afford that” but now we have dozens of services to pay for monthly. If people need extra help, they can find all the information they need for free online or they can visit a nutritionist for personalised diet and exercise advice which would be far more effective in the long run and likely bulk billed or covered by Medicare to some extent. Also I am well aware it is also available on different plans, but let’s be fair, for a monthly subscription, which the majority will buy, it is double the price for no reason other than greed. Subscriptions are a good way to rip people off.
  • Good but needs a couple of additions

    By What can I have
I’d like to see an easy way to add water throughout the day. Separate category even and running total. Also like to see more cuts of meat plus a whole fresh chicken for example as an option. Also a suggestion to be able to type in my amount in grams or mls rather than scroll through numbers. I’d like to be able to see my recent additions throughout all meals not just for a specified one. It would save me having to find it again in a list when I could just choose it from last nights dinner and put in in for today’s breakfast or lunch. It is great for finding Australian foods which is why I chose the App and even better that it’s free. I like the journal feature but I wish I could edit it. My own recipes is a good feature but I can’t access it except through a meal time category like dinner for example, unlike the public ones which can be found under the “more” section.
