  • Cannot update without unload and reinstall

Cannot login from yesterday and told needs the latest version. And cannot update to latest version without unload current one and install!!! when reinstalled, need client number and password which I forgot. Have to change connected phone number to get them back when you are overseas. Waited in the phone for over half an hour (calling from overseas) and got it changed. And now cannot receive Netcode SMS on my phone. So Still cannot login my account and make payments. Frustrating especially when you travel around and with so much stuff up to. All these trouble can be saved if the APP can be updated without unload and reinstall, like all my other apps. And you save cost without people calling or go to counter to change phone number. Didn't intend to give one star until I tried several times to post this comment and all what I've keyed gone when I click sent and was told name taken. Unhappy although have to say all good until you are oversea.
  • Leading the Australian Banks in App Technology

There is no doubt that CommBank is an industry leader in the technology field. Their App has forever been the most advanced of the Australian banks, and miles ahead of banks such as Citi. They were the first to introduce Cardless Cash, Cardless deposits, including the ability to send codes for others to withdraw cash and the like. They released pay tags before Apple Pay and NFC existed. For everyone who is rating the app 1 star for not having Apple Pay - that is unreasonable. This is an APPLICATION review. Not a bank review. The app works flawlessly. Optimised for iPhone X. Osko compatible, QR codes. Quick pay to phone number or other commbank customers via App. So many great features! Yes Apple Pay incompatibility is a pain. But that is no reflection of a bad app.

Best online bank in Australia, but needs to catch up with other banks with Apple Pay compatibility. The NFC tags don’t stick properly and should be one less attachment to your device. I don’t know why CommBank hasn’t already started this feature a year ago even though I did this with a SamsungS4 5 years ago. Besides all that the spend tracker is probably the best feature so far in the update. Real-time tracking and also the categorising of transactions. BUT to become a leader in the competition in finance an idea has sprung up just using CommBank app which has its own customisable categories and monthly budgets and saving targets features instead of using 3rd party finance apps like Pocketbook and MoneyBrilliant. Just an idea! But push to get the CommBank app on the Apple Pay feature.
