Not work on Apple Watch in Australia.
  • It does work

As per the write up on the App Store, this app displays a picture of a compass and relies on you using a finger to cast a shadow which indicates North. So it does work. However, the dimensions of a finger and the iWatch give such an inaccurate indication that it would be quicker to look up and see where the sun was. It works in another way too. Although the GPS is irrelevant, it captures your location "always". Who it is working for - is not you.
  • yeah it works!

OK in case you haven't worked it out, what you are supposed to do is put your finger vertically on the compass reticule, and then line the shadow of your finger onto the white line that appears on the compass. Once you have the shadow and the white line aligned the compass will be properly aligned to north. It seems that this app uses GPS and the time to work out where the white line should be, as it works in the southern hemisphere as well as ( I assume) the north. Thanks for this free app!
