Reviews

  • Works fantastically and does the job

After reading the reviews I didn’t have high expectations of the app. Setting up the app was easy, and it is user friendly. I have had no issues with the app and I continue to use it. If you are going to use it, I suggest that you turn on the tv manually (usually a button on the left hand bottom corner of the tv first), then use the app. Also, unlike a normal remote which responds to a button press quickly, the app does have a little bit of a lag. Nothing to slow, but just be patient. 👍🏽
  • Barely functional

Used the app for a few minutes, showed promise, then suddenly disconnected from my TV and stopped functioning entirely. Kept on showing a prompt to turn on the TV (even though the TV was on and it was working a few minutes prior). Aside from that the layout is cluttered and messy, requiring you to constantly look down. I realise it’s difficult to make a touch screen app simple to use without tactile feedback but the UI needs clearing up. Overall unimpressed, and considering this app hasn’t been updated for 6 months (as of writing this review), I’m not holding my breath for any improvement.

Find this App super handy when the remote is out of reach. 2 things to improve: 1) Volume buttons needs a +/- push button option (like the channel +/- button). The slider just isn’t accurate enough for small volume changes. 2) When sending videos from my iPhone, they sometime play upside down etc due to the rotation on phone when recording. The app/Tv needs to use the metadata within the video to display it correctly.
