  • As Always

    By Ooffft
The reason I came to Mac is how much more difficult Microsoft is - and I say that not in the sense of Windows being too confusing for me to work out but in the sense of Microsoft taking every opportunity to be annoying and challenging. Whilst Apple offers free MacOS downloads to everyone with a mac, Windows has three different versions - Home, Enterprise and Pro, and you must pay for all of them. If you purchase Windows Home, you cannot run Remote Desktop. Funnily enough, I only wanted to run this to ensure I had all my old Windows files moved or duplicated on my mac, and Microsoft would like me to pay $99 to be able to do so. As if, as always.
  • It’s a step forward, But has problems

This new version has more features that ive been waiting for which is good! However I constantly get application not responding, which crashes all of my active RDP sessions. I am an IT professional and this takes a lot of time to reconnect and enter credentials for all the sessions. I also could not see why you had to create a new entry in the APP store and leave the old one. Why not just make this new verion an update of the old verion.
  • Mac Menu Dock Problem

In the old version of Remote Desktop Services 2.1.2 there was an option where you could disable the “Dont show Mac Menu Bar in Full Screen” but In this version you cant. Have held off upgrading to the newer versions of RD for a long time because of this. However just this morning the old 2.2.2 after a windows 7 update will not work anymore. It is a great app but could this please be fixed. And would anyone know why the old version of 2.1.2 wont work anymore? Thanks
