I love the game. Even have a group set up dedicated to sharing videos, longest barrels highest airs etc. it’s awesome. We have our own world titles. However all of us have spoken and agreed on a couple things which we would like to ask some questions about. One main thing for us is point scoring. Some times it seems really inaccurate. For example getting a 30 second barrel and then coming out and doing a 360. And only getting a 5.0 we have come to terms with barrels not being very high scoring and that’s cool coz it’s easy but the point system just seems off. There is a couple other things that I probably don’t want to post in the review because the fact is the game is amazing. If the developer could shoot me a message via email or something that would be great. Thanks for making such a dope app. You guys killed it

I am hooked on this one! So much fun to play with very realistic physics and beautiful graphics. On my iPhone, I’d swear they have videoed the waves and somehow put them into the game. The developers have gone to great lengths to make the shape of the breaks look and behave just like in real life when the breaks are at their best. This is the next best thing to being there! You eyeball the peaks to check their form, choose your spot and you are surfing within seconds. Don’t like the section are on? All you have to do is move down the break to somewhere that looks even better. I received excellent customer service too! There was a small problem with my account which I emailed customer service about and I am pleased to say that I had a resolution within hours . 5 STARS from me 🙂

I think this game has a lot of potential; However it falls short in a few clumsy ways. For starters, the in-app purchases are just too much. I would never pay a subscription to ride “bigger waves for a month” or pay real money to buy a better toy surfboard. However I would pay for the app. Secondly, I want to mind surf, not ride waves with “real conditions”, I want to frequently surf 10 foot bells, not 3-4 unridable close outs. Like others have said the scoring needs work. I don’t know how riding a 5 second+ barrel doesn’t give one a huge score and more experience points but a half baked air does? What’s up with pipe? I’ve never seen the left firing ? Lastly I think the game gets boring too quickly. It’s too slow to progress through the game unless I start pouring money into it and I just don’t appreciate being played. I can just feel the “WSL” going on Formula 1 influence. There is much fun to be had with this game though and the devs have done a really good job of making dreamy looking lineups which in a quirky fun way try to emulate the real thing. Unfortunately a few externalities let the overall mind surfing experience down.
