  • Poor Bluetooth Connection

    By Dam600380
I recently purchased the warm white Bluetooth lighting for my deck and plants. It was very easy to set up and use. I went straight to the App Store and firstly downloaded the Holman App instead of the IGardener. This worked perfectly whilst I was outside sat on the deck. I even set up the timer function which worked great. The problem was, I then went inside the house with my IPhone and lost range of the Bluetooth. I wasn’t even 8 metres away from the main controller. It states that it has a range of 20 metres on the box. Very disappointed. I may as well just go outside and turn the system on and off at the wall. The whole point of having Bluetooth is to operate the system from our phones or other smart devices. The only way is to permanently have a smart device within close proximity of the controller. I secondly then downloaded the IGardener App which is very similar to the Holman App, however was unable to find the timer function so reverted back to the Holman App. This also has the same problem with a small Bluetooth range. I truly believe this could be a great product but certainly needs some minor tweaks to make it perfect.
  • Timer Gone, crippled functionality, why???

    By MaxieBonn
Bought two light systems recently with the understanding that there was a timer function (as per marketing materials and product specs) only to find that this is not available in the app now??? Am hoping this is temporary? Am sure there’s rules around selling items with false specifications... add this back in please, system is crippled to me if I need to manually set this on and off each night... would have considered other options had this been fully disclosed. If the function isn’t coming back, will be seeking a refund.
  • Not too bad!

The app is pretty basic, but it works! I’m controller 3 BTX1 devices with the app and have no problems with them at all. I would love to see a bit more functionality with the app / devices though. Quicker ways to turn the water on / off, and potentially a weather sensor so I don’t water when it rains? For the BTX1 hardware, why don’t they have a push button manual on/off button? Seems like a no brainer and would make the devices a lot more useful!
